Our Family of Friends Do Disney
We just left our friends as they headed back home to San Diego after a relaxing week at Disney. I can't believe how easy it was to get 14 people to all move in the same direction. We have a few planner types in the bunch so the rest of us followers just fell in line. We spent our first day catching up and relaxing at the house. The kids swam in the house pool and the adults just drank lots of tea and conversed about all the activities completed in 2018. Six months have flown by and we have missed out on so much that it reminds us to appreciate this valuable time together.
We did Magic Kindom on the first day out to the theme parks. Erica and I had come here as teenagers and we have taken the kids to Disneyland (which is basically the same park) so we knew that this park was going to be fun. I was surprised to find that this park has changed very little from twenty-five years ago. I guess the phrase if it ain't broke, don't fix it is an appropriate title for this park.
Our next park was Animal Kingdom, our favorite of the three parks we visited. We enjoyed Avatar and Mt. Everest the most and the most memorable was possibly the the tube ride that Erica and Boyd were completely soaked on.
Our last park was Epcot Center. It brought back memories as it is the exact same park that we went to as a kid. The Mission Space ride simulated the G-force experienced by astronauts and it made everyone a bit sick. We enjoyed eating lunch in Morroco and visiting all the shops.
